We believe race and income shouldn’t determine anyone’s future in Long Beach. In our community, everyone should be safe, connected, and healthy.
The Long Beach Invest in Youth (IIY) Coalition is a citywide network of grassroots organizations and community members who believe all young people should be loved, believed in and cared for! Through leadership development, advocacy, and participatory budgeting we work together to ensure our city guarantees its youth residents opportunities to thrive in strong, healthy, and whole communities no matter their zip code, age, race, ability, income, or immigration status.

Through engaging Long Beach communities and its decision makers, young people helped shape history on September 4 with a vote approving to seed $200K for the city’s first-ever Long Beach Children and Youth Fund.
