2024 Black History Month: Legacy of Resilience

A FREE Community Luncheon Celebration

Join us for an afternoon of inspiration and talent!

February 17, 2024

Expo Arts Center, 4321 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Join in beloved community at our 2024 Long Beach Black History Month: Legacy of Resilience Luncheon Celebration, FREE to the community, thanks to the generous support of sponsors. The Legacy of Resilience aims to honor the rich history, achievements, and enduring spirit of the Black community through a visually compelling celebration of culture, contributions, legacy, and strength.

This year we are working in partnership with Senator Lena Gonzalez, 33rd District Representative who has nearly 1 million Los Angeles County residents in her area, including Long Beach and Southeast LA. This event is being hosted in Long Beach, a city rich in diversity, which flourishes when we embrace that diversity as a source of strength for community building and collaboration.

By bringing together our greater community to celebrate community connection, the historic election of Mayor Rex Richardson, and our Black community’s ongoing resilience and legacy, we are able to raise awareness, bridge communities, build understanding, and promote education with a diverse audience.
